If you ask our founder Laura, she'll get on her soapbox about one thing—in her opinion, no cargo e-bike that's marketed to women and folks under 5'9" should have wheels bigger than 20 inches. Period. As the wheels get bigger, the center of gravity gets higher, making it hard for shorter riders to carry all their cargo comfortably.

FAQs
The Maven is compatible with this Universal Child Bike Seat as well as the Thule Yepp Maxi. Please purchase from the vendors linked above. Do not purchase any Thule Yepp Maxi 2 or Burley brand seats. These variants are not compatible with the Maven currently, but future generations of the bike will be.
We use UL certified cells in all of our batteries. Our batteries are also certified for ISO 4210 and UN 38.3. In 2024 we are pursuing an even higher level of battery certification, UL 2271. All our products are 3rd party tested to ensure the highest levels of safety for the batteries, as well as all other electrical and bicycle components.
The Maven can carry a total load of 440 lbs. (200 kgs). This total load includes both the weight of the rider and the weight of the passengers/cargo situated on the rear rack. This means the bike can carry an adult rider as well as an adult passenger, or two children.
The length of the rear rack is large enough to accomodate two Thule Yepp Maxi Child Seats (or similar sized options from other brands).
Battery range is mathematically estimated at 10Wh per km. With a capacity of 1512 Wh in total between the Maven's two batteries, the estimated range is 151 miles. Some dual battery brands will claim 150 miles of range, however they prove this out using test track conditions where you select a level of assist, then drive the bike around the flat track until it runs out of power.
So while 150 miles is theoretically possible, we advertise the Maven's dual battery range as half that: approximately 75 miles. We prefer to offer conservative range estimates because real world riding conditions can make a huge impact on range.

These factors can vary widely from household to household, and even day to day. The best way to know your range is to fully charge your battery, note the mileage on your odometer, and track how many miles you can go on your usual routes before the first battery is depleted. (The Maven comes standard with two batteries, so there's no need to worry while conducting this range test)
